Hayil Ladies

This is the women’s wing/fellowship of the church. In broad terms, it was established to serve as an outreach to women; for nurturing through fellowship, and the discovering and releasing of locked up potentials and purposes through productive and meaningful participation in the group’s activities.

With their slogan as Women of Excellence’’ the Hayil Ladies Ministry has its vision as raising Spirit-filled women who will pursue their God given purpose in the spirit of excellence for creative impact in their community’’. The inspirational text of the group in the Bible is Proverbs 31.

Mimshach Men

Like their female counterparts this is the men’s fellowship of the Fountain Gate Chapel. The group also has as its slogan The Sword of the Lord, and the Sword of Gideon.

Even though most women do not usually occupy high positions in church and secular offices, it is an undeniable fact that they are more active in both church and secular activies than their male counterpart. Men have taken the back seat not only in church activies but also in the home and communities. The Mimshach men’s ministry was formed to address this obvious anomaly. For it is our belief that men should be more proactive.

Desert Parash

The Desert Parash Ministry is the Youth wing of Fountain Gate Chapel. The word “Parash” is a Hebrew word for “Horseman.” The scriptural reference is Joel 2:4–10. “The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on top of the mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. ..……”

The name Desert Parash connotes a Militia-like group of young people, nurtured, trained and equipped by Fountain Gate Chapel and empowered by the Holy Ghost to plunge down the kingdoms of darkness. The horse is noted for its speed, agility, alertness, elegance, dexterity and endurance. As Desert Parash, we are trained to run with the vision of the ministry with speed; are responsive to generate liveliness in the ministry; alert to respond to God with purpose; careful to know that people is our focus; graciously present to the world the All-sufficient God who is able to make rivers in the desert; and have stamina to make rivers in the desert. The term “Desert Parash” in our context makes no reference to any particular geographical location, but rather is symbolic of a people raised in any environment that are able to defy all the restraining, limiting and negative environmental factors to make impact for God.

The Desert Parash Ministry comprises all males and females within the age bracket of thirteen (13) to seventeen (17) years for the teens or junior youth, and eighteen (18) to thirty-five (35) years for young adults. Membership of the Desert Parash Ministry is exclusive to youth who are members of the Church. The Desert Parash Ministry constitutes the efforts of the Church to help each and every young person grow personally and spiritually.

The purpose of the Desert Parash Ministry is to prepare the youth for effective ministry within the context of the local church, to equip them to lead the cause of Christ, and apply Christianity to every area of life. The Desert Parash Ministry engages the youth in every effort of the Church community to reach out to other youth with the love of God as revealed to us in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. It provides the avenues for all the youth in the church to explore ideas, values, and faith within the context of a supportive community of their peers and adults.

The Desert Parash Ministry is a church-wide ministry which strives to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to draw the youth into active, responsible participation in the vision and mission of the church. It helps the youth share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need and foster social change.

The Objectives of the Ministry include:

1)    To deepen the spiritual life of its members through devotional studies of the word of God (Bible), prayer, and other activities that will help develop the spiritual capacity of its members.

2)    To instill in members the consciousness and preparedness to identify and work assiduously towards the realization of the church’s vision and mission.

3)    To motivate and give the necessary helping hand to members to become loyal to the leadership of the church and its authorities.

4)    To propel members to visualize themselves as “the Ministry” and therefore be ready to be developed to suit the church’s standard of leadership.

5)    To help members in any way possible unearth, develop and display or use their God given talents, skills and abilities for the maximum benefit of the church, community and nation as a whole, and to direct their youthful strength, exuberance and passion positively to the glory of God.

6)    To instill in members the belief that God is able make rivers in the desert and raise voices that are unique from a place that is termed forsaken to impact the rest of the world.

7)    To develop in members the hunger, thirst and passion for unsaved souls, and to reach out to them through evangelism and any other means possible.

8)    To preach and instruct young people to appreciate the fact that godliness and holiness is possible in a perverse and crocked generation so that they will live lives that are totally consecrated to God.
