REV. ALEX FREDUA-AGYEMANG

 

Pastor Alex Fredua-Agyemang was born in Accra, Ghana (Africa) into an Islamic family. He became born again during his university studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi, Ghana in 1995.


After his conversion into Christianity, he joined the evangelism wing of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) in the University and was actively involved in rural evangelism.


He joined Fountain Gate Chapel in December, 1999 in Ofankor, Accra and served under the Head Pastor and former Chairman of the International Presbytery of FGC worldwide, Rev. Clement Anchebah for six years. He served in various capacities including the counseling department, Bible study instructor (OCB), prayer department, and also as a youth leader. After a while he moved to help establish another FGC church in Tema, Ghana under the leadership of Rev. Stephen Zigah. Here, he also served in various capacities including the prayer department, the deacon board and as a special aide to the Head Pastor.


Pastor Alex holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Agricultural Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He also holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, USA and another master’s degree in Divinity from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Whiles pursing his masters’ degree, he received an honorary Doctorate in Divinity award from the Cambridge Theological Seminary in Ohio, USA. Ps Alex has successfully completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), a pastoral care certification program in Chaplaincy at the Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA, USA where he serves as a contract chaplain. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Ministry program at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA. He also holds a certificate in Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Accra, Ghana. After his first degree, Pastor Alex worked as the National Coordinator for the then Citrus Growers and Marketers Association of Ghana. Afterwards he moved to work with the Value Added Tax (VAT) Service now Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) as a Tax Administrator for six years in Accra, Ghana. He also worked as an instructor for environmental issues and general education at the ITT-Tech Educational Institute in Chantilly, VA, USA before entering full-time ministry.


Pastor Alex is married to his best friend and ministry partner Akosua with four kids; David, Alexa, Anna and Daniel. They currently live in Fredericksburg, VA, USA where they serve the people of God with love and joy.
